The rules of the road.

These are the terms you agree to when you use mebut.ai. We’ve kept them plain. The short version: own what you build, don’t impersonate anyone, pay if you upgrade, and we’ll do our part to keep the service running.
Accepting these terms
By creating an account, claiming a handle, or otherwise using mebut.ai, you agree to these terms. If you're using mebut.ai on behalf of a company, you confirm you have authority to bind that company.
Your account
You need to be at least 16 to use mebut.ai. You're responsible for keeping your account credentials secure and for everything that happens under your account. Tell us promptly if you suspect unauthorised access. One account per natural person; do not share credentials.
Your ai you
You retain all rights to the content you upload and to the resulting ai. You grant us a non-exclusive license to use that content solely to operate, maintain and improve your ai. We do not use your corpus to train any model that serves another user. You can wipe your ai and the underlying corpus at any time from your dashboard; the deletion completes within 24 hours.
Acceptable use
Don't use mebut.ai to impersonate someone you aren't authorised to represent. Don't build an ai that promotes illegal activity, sells regulated goods or services you aren't licensed to sell, generates sexual content involving minors, or harasses individuals. Don't probe, scan, scrape or test the vulnerability of the service without prior written permission. We will suspend or terminate accounts that violate these rules.
Pricing and billing
Pricing is published at /pricing and may change with 30 days' notice for paid plans. The 14-day Pro trial requires no card and converts to a paid plan only with your explicit consent. Paid subscriptions auto-renew monthly until you cancel; you can cancel any time from your settings. Refunds: pro-rata for the unused portion of a month if you cancel within 7 days of upgrading. Stripe handles all payment processing.
Service availability
We aim for high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. Scheduled maintenance, force-majeure events, and third-party outages (Cloudflare, Supabase, Anthropic, Stripe) may affect availability. We will not be liable for incidental or consequential damages from downtime.
Transparency to visitors
Every conversation surface where your ai answers will carry a clear "powered by mebut.ai" disclosure and a "this is ai" label. You may not remove these disclosures except where Studio-tier white-label is contractually permitted. Visitor messages and your ai's responses are visible to you in your dashboard; this is non-optional and disclosed on your ai's public page.
AI output
Your ai generates responses probabilistically. We do our best to ensure responses match your voice and your stated guardrails, but we cannot guarantee accuracy, completeness or appropriateness for any particular use. You are responsible for the responses your ai produces on your behalf. If a response causes harm to a third party, you (not mebut.ai) are responsible for that harm. Do not deploy your ai for high-stakes professional advice (legal, medical, financial) without human-in-the-loop review.
Termination
You can delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate accounts for material breach of these terms, abusive behaviour, or non-payment. On termination we delete your account and corpus within 24 hours unless we are legally required to retain data.
Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability to you for any claim arising from your use of mebut.ai is capped at the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim, or £100, whichever is greater. We exclude liability for indirect, consequential, special or punitive damages.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. Disputes are resolved in the courts of England and Wales, except where consumer-protection law in your jurisdiction grants you a non-waivable right to local courts.
Changes
We may update these terms; we will email you at least 30 days before material changes take effect. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance.
